Nel corso del convegno, promosso nell’ambito della campagna Assoambiente, sono state approfondite opportunità e criticità legate all’istituzione della responsabilità estesa del produttore nella filiera globale del tessile.
Ad agosto 2024 la Commissione giudicatrice per l’affidamento della concessione del polo impiantistico relativo al termovalorizzatore di Roma Capitale ha concluso il suo lavoro, proponendo l’aggiudicazione della gara al raggruppamento di impresa composto da Acea Ambiente, quale capogruppo, con Hitachi Zosen Inova AG, Suez Italy Spa, Vianini Lavori Spa e RMB Spa. L'impianto, da 600mila tonnellate l’anno, sperimenterà anche la cattura e liquefazione della CO2 e una linea di trattamento delle ceneri pesanti per il recupero dei materiali riciclabili.

Multi-utility company Iren SpA and STADLER Anlagenbau GmbH, the globally active German company specialized in the planning, production and assembly of turnkey recycling and sorting plants, have invited the international press and selected customers to visit the new Circular Plastic sorting plant. Designed and built by STADLER, it is the largest plastic sorting and storage facility in Italy. The new facility has the capacity to process approximately 100,000t mixed plastics and cans a year, closing the circular economy loop by sending up to 80% of incoming waste to recycling plants.

IFAT Munich 2024, which took place from May 13 to 17 at the Munich Exhibition Center, ended with a top attendance: Around 142,000 visitors from nearly 170 countries and regions attended the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. The share of international visitors was over 50 percent and thus higher than ever. The number of international exhibitors also reached a new record: 55 percent of the 3,211 exhibitors came from abroad. Companies from a total of 61 countries and regions took part in the trade fair. With 300,000 square meters of space, IFAT Munich 2024 was also the largest ever.
