It's called Smart upgrading the new clean technology developed by researchers at the Department of Materials Science, University of Milan-Bicocca washing biogas eliminating the CO2 for natural gas. The trial took place in the former landfill EMC Environment Cavenago Brianza and gave positive results.
"Smart upgrading" is a technology, experimented with a small prototype plant, which allows the "washing" of the biogas obtained from the fermentation of waste from the former landfill. Compared to the technologies currently employed in this field, has the advantage of working with a substance transformation biodegradable and affordable, and to require, for its operation, an amount of energy very low, producing a gas made in Italy.
