CAMS at Conexpo 2026 with two machines for recycling and road construction
CAMS will take part in Conexpo 2026 through its US distribution network, showcasing two solutions dedicated to recycling and compact paving applications. At the stand of GrinderCrusherScreen Inc., the new UTM 1500G mobile crusher will be unveiled in a world premiere, while Hitek Equipment Inc. will present the MG7 Super-e mini paver.
Energy efficiency, compact design and application versatility will be the key themes of CAMS Recycling’s presence at Conexpo 2026, one of the world’s leading events for the construction industry, taking place from March 3 to 7 in Las Vegas.
The Italian company, specializing in mobile plants for crushing and processing aggregates and asphalt, will be represented at the show by two US dealers: GrinderCrusherScreen Inc., whose stand (Central Hall, Booth C20348) will host the world premiere of the new UTM 1500G hybrid mobile crusher, and Hitek Equipment Inc. (Silver Lot, Booth SV3105), featuring the MG7 Super-e mini paver by Malavasi, a historic Italian brand now part of the CAMS Group.
The participation further strengthens CAMS’ development strategy in the United States and concretely integrates Malavasi solutions into the company’s overall product portfolio.
UTM 1500G: High-Productivity Hybrid Mobile Plant
At the GrinderCrusherScreen Inc. stand, CAMS will display the UTM 1500G, a mobile plant designed for crushing and recycling aggregates, asphalt, demolition debris, wood and other materials.
The machine integrates an FTR 1500 shredder with a 59 × 39 in feed opening (1,500 × 1,000 mm), a 3.9 yd³ tilting hopper (3 m³) and a 31.5 in discharge conveyor (800 mm). Production capacity can reach up to 220 tph (200 t/h), while compact dimensions — 36.4 ft in length (11.10 m), 7.6 ft in width (2.32 m) and 10.2 ft in height (3.10 m) — and an operating weight of 43,000 lb (19,500 kg) ensure optimized transportability.
A defining feature of the UTM series is its hybrid power system: the plant can operate in diesel-electric mode via the integrated generator set or in full electric mode, eliminating the use of the diesel engine and significantly reducing emissions. The low rotational speed of the shredder shafts also contributes to reduced noise and dust emissions, making the machine suitable for environmentally sensitive job sites.
Standard features include automatic programs for different materials, the ability to process wet materials, low energy consumption and high wear resistance. Optional equipment includes a CAT C7.1 Stage V generator set rated at 268 hp (200 kW) with a MeccAlte 350 kVA alternator and a 53-gal fuel tank (200 L), as well as options such as a weighing system, dust suppression unit, automatic lubrication, GPS and hydraulic pushers.
MG7 Super-e: Compactness and Versatility for Paving Applications
At the Hitek Equipment Inc. booth, visitors will find the MG7 Super-e mini paver by Malavasi, a compact solution designed for road maintenance and small-scale paving operations.
The machine features an electrically heated screed, ensuring precise temperature control and uniform asphalt laydown. The integrated electric vibrator improves compaction and surface finish. The screed is adjustable in width from 12 in to 78 in (30–200 cm) and in paving height from −2 in to 10 in (−5 to 25 cm), with a negative slope of up to −10°, offering high operational flexibility.
Key benefits include a significant reduction in labour requirements, faster intervention times compared to traditional methods, operating speeds of up to 59 ft/min (18 m/min) and low operating costs. An optional 50-gal emulsion tank (200 L) with an integrated spraying system is also available.
