Ghirarduzzi at Ecomondo 2026 with the DM50 densimetric separator
Six years of development and application testing behind a materials recovery machine on show in Rimini.
Ghirarduzzi Srl will exhibit the DM50 densimetric separator at Ecomondo 2026, taking place from 3 to 6 November at the Rimini Exhibition Centre.
At Stand 403 in Hall A1, the company will meet recycling professionals to present a machine designed to separate materials with different densities and support the recovery of recyclable raw materials.
For this edition, the DM50 densimetric separator will feature an exclusive colour scheme created for Ecomondo 2026. Visitors will be able to take a closer look at its construction and discuss with the Ghirarduzzi team how it could be used in their own treatment processes.
Launched in 2020, the DM50 densimetric separator was developed to meet the need for a compact footprint, use in mobile plants and the separation of materials with very fine particle sizes. Since then, material testing and field experience have guided its development. Subsequent improvements have focused on components and construction, with particular attention to the requirements of continuous industrial operation.
Alongside the DM50, Ghirarduzzi’s range of densimetric separators includes the DM100, DM150 and the brand-new DM200. This broad and comprehensive range offers solutions for processing different materials at a variety of throughput rates, helping operators select the machine best suited to each plant’s requirements.
Densimetric separation uses differences in density to separate materials of similar particle size. For materials recovery operators, the aim is to obtain fractions suitable for use in subsequent production cycles. The characteristics of the incoming material therefore provide the starting point for assessing the application and identifying the most suitable solution.
To support this approach, Ghirarduzzi has several systems and machines dedicated to separation and recycling at its facility, where customers’ materials can be tested. Discussions are therefore based on practical trials, which help assess material behaviour and separation potential. Applications developed with the DM50 include the recovery of sand and rubber from artificial turf sports fields.
Based in Fontanellato, in the province of Parma, Ghirarduzzi traces its roots back to 1903 and manufactures machinery and systems in Italy for environmental and recycling applications. In-house design and a focus on users’ needs guide the development of solutions for material separation and resource recovery.
Taking part in Ecomondo 2026 will provide an opportunity to discover the DM50 densimetric separator and discuss new application requirements.
Ghirarduzzi invites customers, designers and industry professionals to visit its stand to learn more about the machine’s features and discuss new recovery projects.
