MT Technology, the precision foundry, develops, prototypes and manufactures automotive components of the highest quality, casted in all types of steel: exhaust, gearboxes, injector clamps, frame, from 15 g to 2.5 kg.

The history of the plant where today stands MT Technology begins in 1918 when Louis Renault founded "L’usine du Temple" in Saint Michel de Maurienne in the Savoy. It is said that the name has its origins from the fact that in the Middle Ages, in the place where the plant is built, there was a command of the Templars.

The precision foundry was founded in 1970 as “Metaltemple“. In that year Unit 1 is created, to be followed by Unit 2 in 1990. 

Metaltemple in 2008 joined CMV Group (which owns also MBF Aluminium based in Saint Claude), to become MT Technology in 2013.

MT Technology today occupies an area of ​​24,000 sqm and employs 165 people. It produces an average of 11 million pieces a year.

Its mission is to be more and more a strategic supplier for its customers, thanks to the involvement of its teams from the initial phase of a project to production and thanks to its co-design approach regarding new products.

MT Technology is extremely motivated in innovation, and is very strong in mitigating the risks by using a well established validation process based on a strong experience, especially in casting simulation.
