COBRA 1800 mobile shredder

COBRA 1800: CAMEC brings the synchronized twin-shaft to two configurations, skid-mounted and tracked.

COBRA 1800 mobile shredder

COBRA 1800 is CAMEC's mobile twin-rotor shredder, available in two versions to suit different operational needs: COBRA 1800 S, with a skid-mounted frame, rubber axle and drawbar for quick positioning by truck, and COBRA 1800 C, tracked, for maximum mobility and stability on site. Both versions share the same synchronized twin-shaft shredding system and differ in rotor length, rotation speed and mobility configuration.

Main features

Engine and cutting system

The diesel engine delivers up to 294 kW (Scania on the C version, 285 kW on the S version), paired with a variable-flow hydraulic system that ensures constant power even under the most demanding operating conditions. The synchronized twin-shaft system develops torque of up to 220,000 Nm on both versions: Hardox 450 blades welded to the shaft, feed hooks, cleaning teeth and a post-shredding bar guarantee continuous shredding even of the toughest materials, with machine downtime kept to a minimum.

Operation and maintenance

Plug & play logic ensures immediate operability, with preset work programs based on the material and full remote-control management for single-operator use. Remote diagnostics continuously monitors the shredding process and guides maintenance work, reducing unplanned downtime.

Continuous flow

The 5 m³ tilting hopper and the rubber extraction belt (1,000 mm, 80 m/min) keep the material flow continuous; the magnetic separator is fitted as standard on both versions.

Built to last

High-quality steels, reinforced frame ribbing and increased thicknesses make the structure resistant to the harshest operating conditions, with particular attention to component accessibility for maintenance.

Mobility to measure

On the mobility front, COBRA 1800 S adopts a rubber axle with drawbar for quick positioning by truck, while COBRA 1800 C is fitted with a tracked frame for maximum mobility and stability directly on site.

Technical specifications comparison

Applications

Depending on the rotor configuration, COBRA 1800 S and C can process a wide range of materials: wood waste, biomass, pruning and branch cuttings, paper reels, plastic, municipal solid waste, bulky waste, industrial and commercial waste, light ferrous and aluminum scrap, tires, mattresses.

Final particle size: 150 – 350 mm, depending on rotor configuration and screen.

Cutting configurations

COBRA 1800 is designed to adapt to the job, not the other way around. Four interchangeable cutting configurations make it possible to process different materials, control the final particle size and optimize the process according to the application, simply by changing the cutting chamber.
