Guidetti: three decades of excellence in metal recycling
Guidetti Recycling celebrates 30 years and introduces new products for metal recovery, including the Nexort Y optical sorter, designed for the chromatic separation of metals with similar specific gravity.
From the original intuition—developed in previous years in a small workshop of just 200 m² in San Matteo della Decima—to the founding of Guidetti srl in 1996 and the start of operations at the Renazzo headquarters: a growth path that has led Guidetti to become an international point of reference in the recycling and metal separation sector, celebrating its first 30 years in 2026.
The event—which brought together clients, dealers, and partners from over 20 countries, including the United States, Brazil, Thailand, Mexico, Australia, Russia, and much of Europe—was an opportunity to trace an entrepreneurial history rooted in the local region and to preview the latest technological innovations developed by the company.
The current Guidetti headquarters covers a total area of 40,000 m², of which 15,000 m² are covered. With a team of 47 employees divided between commercial and production departments, the company constantly invests in generational turnover and school-work synergy projects to train new technical skills.
Dry Ecological Separation
Guidetti machinery is designed for the recovery and valorization of complex waste: copper and aluminum electrical cables, WEEE (RAEE), radiators, and car fluff. All plants are based on the principle of dry densimetric separation: no chemical agents or water are used, relying exclusively on airflow and specific gravity. The shredded materials fall onto an inclined table: copper and heavy metals sink/precipitate, while an airflow lifts the lighter plastic components, causing them to slide toward the rear.

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the company demonstrated several engineering innovations designed to further elevate the quality of recovered materials.
Nexort Y Optical Sorter
The Nexort Y optical sorter is a technological solution developed to carry out a true "selection of the selection" of metals, combining the advanced optical sorting technologies of Nexort ST with the industrial experience gained by Guidetti Recycling Systems over 30 years of innovation in the recycling sector.
It stems from the need to overcome the limitations of mechanical or air-densimetric separation: when different metals (such as copper, brass, zamak, or lead) have very similar specific gravities, the densimetric table conveys them to the same point. Nexort Y intervenes to separate these metals based on their chromatic characteristics. It integrates RGB cameras, compressed air nozzles, and a patented lighting system that eliminates shadows during the free-fall of the material. It can process particle sizes from 0.5 mm to 25 mm with flow rates ranging from 250 kg/h to 2.5 tons/hour per single channel.
It maintains compact dimensions and has been designed in a 2-channel version, with a 4-channel version planned. It can be positioned either to complete an integrated Guidetti line (for example, downstream of the multi-table battery) or as an independent standalone unit. It will be officially presented at Ecomondo 2026.
The MULTIPRO 5650 Compact System
The MULTIPRO 5650 represents one of the main technological innovations presented by Guidetti, designed to revolutionize the recycling process through a compact, integrated architecture. Unlike traditional plants composed of multiple distinct, coordinated units, the MULTIPRO 5650 concentrates the entire recycling process inside a single machine. Based on the plug & perform concept, the system is designed to simplify and speed up the commissioning phase.
It receives material with an input particle size of approximately 20 mm. Depending on the type of waste (electrical cables or other materials), it can be paired upstream with a hammer mill or a pre-shredder. Inside the machine, the material passes through mills that further reduce and refine it. Next, a ZigZag separator carries out an initial selection, intercepting and separating the larger metal fractions and pieces. Finally, the refined stream reaches the final air-and-vibration separation table, where a clean split occurs between the light plastic component and the heavy metal component, ensuring the recovery of even the finest fractions.
The MULTIPRO 5650 was developed to offer high-quality material separation in a compact footprint. It is the ideal solution for companies requiring a high-performance plant but having limited space, or seeking a simple system to manage without organizing complex lines.
Multi Recycling Product Line Box: MRP 560 BOX
The MRP 560 BOX is a multi-product plant designed to manage heterogeneous materials. It consists of an initial hammer mill with a pusher/doser, a central box housing hybrid mills and ZigZag separators, and a final refining section. The line is equipped with a sub-table suction device dedicated to recovering fine metal powders.
The MRP 560 BOX Line represents one of the most advanced configurations presented by Guidetti for treating complex, heterogeneous waste. Its distinctiveness lies in concentrating a complete industrial cycle of refining and separation within a compact, rational system. Unlike traditional systems calibrated for only one type of waste, the MRP 560 BOX Line is conceived as a multi-product and multi-material plant. It can process simultaneously or sequentially: mixed electrical cables, radiators, car fluff, and scrap metal of various types. The combination of size reduction achieved via the hammer mill and refining via the integrated box allows these materials to be processed even when introduced in a mixed, non-pre-sorted stream.
