The digester in Novi Ligure
Green energy production thanks to Cesaro Mac Import technologies and its partners
It was opened a new biodigester on Srt plant in Novi Ligure, which will have a processing capacity of 18,000 tons of waste per year, of which 12,000 of organic waste and ligno-cellulosic of 6000.
The digester allows to recover energy from the biogas produced by the waste processing. The methane gas produced during the process will be used for the production of electricity.
The estimate for the new plant of Novi is an annual production of approximately 2 million cubic meters of biogas, converted into 4 million kWh, equivalent to the energy consumed approximately 1000 homes.
The digester, with Axpo Kompogass technology, is integrated with a composting plant already operating.
